During the past weekend here in Southeastern Pennsylvania, we have expierenced high temperatures along with high humidity. It was in the mid-90s and it was just plain HOT. The local outdoor markets here in the Adamstown area were off in traffic - both dealers and customers. Many shoppers were driven indoors, especially to the many antique malls along Route 272.
I have a booth inside the Heritage Antique Center. There are numerous postcards, books, ephemera, advertising items and collectibles in the booth. When you arrive at the mall, go through the front door and turn left. Walk about 30 feet into the next room and I am the second booth on the right. There is a table filled with postcards with a chair to sit down and enjoy the time that you spend looking at them.
Here is a recent photograph of my booth. As with all photos in this blog, just left click once on the photo and it will get larger for you to view. If you are a postcard collector, there is another booth that you do not want to miss while shopping at the Heritage Antique Center. My friend and manager of the mall, Mike Middleton, has a large booth of postcards right across from the checkout station. His collection makes mine look non-existent, but check out my stock first before you get lost in his booth. And be sure to tell Mike that Karl sent you!
Heritage Antique Center is located at 2750 N. Reading Road in Adamstown, PA. They are open 7 days a week from 10 AM until 5 PM with special summer hours. Check out their website at www.paantique.com
